EcoMarine Propulsion Achieves Breakthrough in Marine Efficiency with Eco Boss Cap
EcoMarine Propulsion is thrilled to announce the successful results of our latest cavitation tunnel test campaign, demonstrating a 2.1% improvement in efficiency for our flagship technology, the Eco Boss Cap. This accomplishment marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to advancing marine propulsion systems, focusing on both performance enhancements and positive environmental impact.
Conducted at a world-renowned hydrodynamic research facility, our Eco Boss Cap underwent rigorous testing designed to simulate real-world operating conditions. The 2.1% improvement in efficiency demonstrates not only significant fuel savings but also reinforces our role in helping the maritime industry reduce its carbon footprint. This result is an important milestone towards our mission of sustainable propulsion solutions.
While the 2.1% efficiency increase is lower than some of the CFD simulations predicted, it is important to note the impact of the scale effect during these model tests. This variance can be attributed to the differences between model-scale testing and full-scale operations.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that we will be conducting a second round of testing in March 2024. This new phase will feature enlarged Eco Boss Cap holes to ensure adequate flow through at full-scale size. This adjustment aims to provide even more precise and reliable data for full-scale application.
Our dedication to innovation and collaboration with industry experts continues to drive us forward in the pursuit of sustainable, efficient marine propulsion. This progress is a testament to the hard work of our team and the collaborative spirit of the maritime industry, united in our efforts to create a greener tomorrow.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to refine our technology and take significant steps toward a sustainable maritime future.
